Valmalenco, Italy World Cup 13th

I raced a World Cup PGS today in Valmalenco, Italy. Valmalenco is one of my favorite towns. It was a perfect day for racing today. I got off to a fast start this morning in the first qualification run, finishing third, but I slid out on a toeside turn near the bottom on the second run and fell back in qualification. Jacey Jay and I raced in the first round of the finals. I had a good run going, but got greedy and took too straight of a line at the bottom of first run and couldn’t hold on. I fought to make up the penalty on the second run, but Jacey was too solid for that. That ended my day in thirteenth. I felt good today and was hoping for a better result, but stoked for a fun day of racing; I’m glad I was here to enjoy it. I’m flying to the South of France tomorrow to surf for a few days in-between World Cup races with my friend Gilles. Time to test the wrist surfing. I’m doing my big swell surf dance tonight. Next weekend is World Cup Finals at La Molina, Spain. I’m hoping for more spring-like weather for racing next Sunday. La Molina is the steepest hill of the season – should be a fun challenge. Enjoy the photos from today. Talk to you soon,
