3rd Annual Aspen Summit For Life 2008

The Third Annual Aspen Summit for Life 2008 was the biggest and most far-reaching awareness event to date benefitting the Chris Klug Foundation. In early December 2008 our education and awareness efforts were centered around a unique night-time uphill race where participants, using their own physical power on snowshoes or skis, ascended 3267 vertical feet over 2.5 miles from the base of Aspen Mountain to the summit. This pledge-based race emphasized the fact that transplant recipients and living donors can lead healthy active lives. Those that did not wish to participate in the hike, but wanted to be involved took the gondola ride to the top for the post race celebration and concert. The event proceeds were used to fund the Chris Klug Foundation’s (CKF) education and awareness programs throughout Colorado and across the country.
