Training in Austria!

I’m in Austria for a few weeks training and racing. It’s super fun to be back on-board! We open the World Cup season Oct. 16, and 17th in Solden, Austria. I look forward to a fast start to the season. My new Burton race boards are sick. I’m fired up for a good start!
Last week I was in Oahu for a week of speaking and surfing. Missy and I visited Pearl Harbor and also did some good snorkeling, where we saw a big sea turtle. I lucked out with a good South swell the first few days and then nailed a good North Shore swell and rode some gems. I wrapped up the trip on Sunday with a fun session at Sunset! It was super fun. I had a good time sharing my message of donor awareness with the St. Francis Transplant Team, local high school students, and the Boys’ and Girls’ Club of Hawaii. We attended the Hawaii Warriars Football game last Saturday night where they beat up on Tulsa, their first win of the season.
I’ve been working hard the past month wrapping up my new book ‘To the Edge and Back.’ I have been working on it the past four years with my buddy Steve Jackson. I’m excited about it and can’t wait to share it. It’s at press now and will be available in early November. Inquire at your local books stores so they start ordering lots of books. We’ll have special edition signed hardbacks available in early November on www.klugriding.com. Thanks a lot for your support. Hope you enjoy it! I’m training and getting ready the next week for some racing ahead. Have a great fall. Get ready to rip in November!
