Mt. Hood AST Training Camp!

Hi from Oregon! Just wrapped up our first America’s Snowboard Team training camp at Mt. Hood the past two weeks. We had a great two weeks of training with our new team. We’re off to a fast start. Our new AST Head Coach Rob Roy has been working us hard. Everyone is super stoked and riding fast. I’m really proud of the training environment we’ve created. I’m feeling good about my riding. I’ve made a few helpful adjustments to my technique and equipment the past weeks. The weather and snow cooperated and made for a great session.
I’m off snow the next week in Oregon. We will resume training Sept. 14th with a slalom emphasis. We will be focusing on slalom to prepare for our World Cup Opener Oct. 9th indoors in Landgraaf, Netherlands. Below are a few pics from camp. I’m looking forward to heading to the OR Coast next week to kite and surf and recover from two weeks of hard training.
Registration is now open for the 4th Annual Aspen Summit for Life on Dec. 12th, 2009. Summit for Life is a night-time uphill snowshoe race on Aspen Mtn. to raise awareness for organ donation. The event benefits the Chris Klug Foundation. Check out the site at www.summitforlife.com. Hope to see you December 12th on Aspen Mountain. Thanks for checking in. Enjoy your holiday weekend! Talk to you soon,
