Lindley Hut Trip

I headed up to Lindley Hut last night with my friend Jon to join some other friends for the night. It was a chilly hike up last night, -4 when we left the car at Ashcroft. Once we got moving I warmed up. Not much moon light last night, had to use headlamp the whole way to stay on the trail. We enjoyed a dinner feast last night together at Lindley Hut thanks to Jill and Rachel. I slept like a bear last night. Lindley Hut is super cool. It’s situated at the base of Taylor Peak at the end of Castle Creek Valley.? It’s a mellow hike up to the hut. The downhill this morning on my skate skis was funny. I was flying! I’m trying to get fit for the Grand Traverse end of March. I’m hoping to do the Cosmic Power of Four Aspen/Snowmass Race March 5th from Snowmass to Aspen – should be good training.

I was supposed to fly to Dallas yesterday for a speech with Deloitte, but winter weather in Texas cancelled my trip. I’ll be watching Super Bowl from home in Aspen.
