Landgraaf Indoor Slalom
Posted by admin on / 0 Comments
I returned home last night from a week of slalom training and racing in The Netherlands. We had our slalom World Cup Opener in Landgraaf, Holland last Friday. Unfortunately I made a big mistake in the opening qualification run and my day got cut short. I’m a little bummed as I was riding strong, but understand that when you make a big mistake on a flat twenty gate slalom it’s hard to recover. I of course wanted to get off to a fast start, but know I’m riding fast and will do so at our next races at Copper in November. My AST Teammate Zac Kay finished 14th and Joshua Wylie just missed the finals at 17th. Erica Mueller ended up 25th.
We had a fun day of riding bikes in Amsterdam on Saturday following our race in Landgraaf. What a cool city. I’ve never seen so many people on bikes. I loved the architecture and sights.
I’m back home in Aspen this week training and getting ready for our next on-snow training camp at Copper Mountain starting next week. I’m excited to get back on my giant slalom boards and on some more interesting terrain. The indoor race is fun, but I prefer being in the mountains and outdoors. Thanks for checking in. Stay tuned for the launch of our new AST site next week. We’ve got some cool new videos to share. Enjoy your fall season!
