Aspen Summit for Life 2007

The 2nd Annual Aspen Summit for Life 2007 this past weekend was a huge success. More than 200 up-hillers hiked Aspen Mountain and another 150 rode the gondola to celebrate at the Sundeck Restaurant on top. The purpose of the Summit for Life was to raise awareness for organ and tissue donation and help the Chris Klug Foundation and the American Transplant Foundation. We accomplished both. It was snowing and blowing hard which made for difficult hiking conditions. I suffered to the top with many other transplant recipients and donor family members. Thank you to everyone that joined us and helped make the event a huge hit. The purpose of the event was to raise awareness of the importance of organ and tissue donation and help raise funds to support the Chris Klug Foundation and the American Transplant Foundation. A special thank you to our sponsors and partners that helped make the S4L possible and to all of our volunteers and participants. I hope everyone had a fun time. I arrived in Italy last night for our World Cup PGS in Limone Piemontethis weekend. I had a fun day of freeriding on the race hill today, getting my sea legs back after two weeks off and a long flight and drive. It’s warm and sunny here. We’re only sixty kilometres from Monaco. I cannot believe there are mountains let alone snow this far south. Should be a fun race this weekend. From here we travel to Switerland for a World Cup PSL Dec. 16th. I’ll keep you posted. More snow on the way to Aspen this weekend. Have fun,
