Aspen Spring Snowboard Camp 2008

Our 8th Annual Aspen Klug Spring Snowboard Camp 2008 was a great success. It’s always a fun way to wrap up the comp season for me. We had a great team of coaches and participants. Everyone improved and had a lot of fun. We only had one broken wrist this year. Participants in the 2008 Camp can view and download photos from this year’s session at Aspen Klug Camp Photos 2008. Enjoy the pics! Thank you to all that joined us and to our coaches and those that helped make this year’s camp a success. Hope to see you all again next spring!
I am sad to share with you that one of our coaches this year Wallace Westfeldt died a few days after our camp in a backcountry snowboard accident off Highland’s Bowl. He was an amazing rider and an awesome person. It’s a tragic loss to our community and to the snowboard world. We will all miss you Wallace. I’m stoked to have had the opportunity to spend some time with you at our camp this spring. I know everyone that had a chance to ride or hang with Wallace came away better. Thank you Wallace!
It’s still winter here in Aspen; it has been dumping the past days. I did a fun hut trip to Margie’s Hut above Aspen for a night after camp with some friends to recover and celebrate a great camp. I’m excited to freeride and mountaineer a lot in the weeks ahead. I plan to spend a lot of time on my split-board this spring. Last week I was in Southern California where I spoke at Cedars Sinai Hospital and helped present at the ESPN California Sports Awards along with LaDainian Tomlinson. I’ll be staying busy this spring doing appearances, freeriding and testing equipment, taking a real estate course and getting back on my bikes. Nice to be back home. Enjoy your spring! Talk to you soon,
