19th at Sunday River

I made a few mistakes in my second run yesterday that cost me advancing to the finals in the PGS at the Sunday River, Maine World Cup. It was a fun race yesterday. USSA and Sunday River put on a sweet event. The snow and the hill were in good shape and the weather cooperated. I was proud to be a member of the host team. I of course wanted to ride faster and advance to the finals, but a few mistakes on the second run left me in nineteenth, just short of qualifying. After crashing in Quebec perhaps I rode a little careful which is never the way to get in there. After a beautiful day of riding yesterday the rain arrived today. The SBX qualifier was postponed ‘till tomorrow morning. I am staying at Sunday River a couple extra days to join team CKF in hosting an organ donation awareness and educational booth at the base area for the World Cup weekend. Sunday River expects three thousand plus people tomorrow and Sunday. We’ll be busy making sure they know the facts about donation and share their decision. I return home to Aspen this weekend for a week off before our final two World Cups in Europe. I’m looking forward to returning home to get ready for a strong finish to the season. I am a little disappointed with my performance this weekend, but will bounce back strong for a fast finish to the season in Spain and Italy ahead. Have a great weekend. Thanks for checking in.
