Headed to New Zealand

I’ve been training and playing hard in Oregon the past month, hence the lack of updates. My kiteboards and surfboards have seen a lot of action. There’s no better, or more fun cross-training activities. I broke my ankle last August and missed a month of kiting and surfing, but fortunately not my wedding in Sept. or the snowboard season; I made up for it the past month!
Last week CKF hosted the Oregon premier of our documentary film “Ride of your Life†at the Sisters Movie House with a reception beforehand at the Sisters Athletic Club. We filled up the Movie House; it was a huge success. It was awesome to see how many people even in a small community like Sisters have been touched by organ donation. We received awesome exposure encouraging people to share their decision with their family. Check out the The Nugget Newspaper to view the stories in this week’s edition. I was really proud of the support we received. Thanks to those of you that joined us.
I’m traveling to New Zealand this week for a two week training session. I’m planning to remain in New Zealand a little longer to explore the surf. There are a few waves I’ve always wanted to surf down there and this seemed a good time to take advantage. I will keep you posted on the conditions and training camp progress from New Zealand. Enjoy the rest of your summer. The 2nd Annual Aspen Summit for Life 2007 will take place Dec. 1st in Aspen, CO. The new website and registration will go live this weekend. I hope you will join us to help raise awareness of the importance of organ donation.
