To The Edge And Back

Enjoy the Ride, Don't Take A Turn For Granted

Happy Easter!

Happy Easter! I hope you’re enjoying a great holiday weekend. It’s closing weekend at Aspen/Snowmass for the season. I got some runs in yesterday on the mountain with my family. It’s a beautiful Easter Day here today. I celebrated Easter with my family today by feasting on a spectacular Sunday brunch.I joined the Ride Across America Team on Friday, escorting them across my home state of Colorado, from Denver to Kansas City, as they ride across the country on motorcyle and ATV to promote life-saving donation. It was some ride! We started in Denver at 4:30 a.m. on Friday morning. It was spectacular seeing the sunrise over Eastern Colorado en route to KC. A Ride Across America started in Seal Beach, California and is riding all the way to NYC to get the word out about donation. I wasn’t able to join them for the entire ride, but I wanted to support their efforts and be a part as they traveled through Colorado for a great cause. I rode a chopper and an ATV for almost eighteen hours. My butt has never been so sore. The chopper was awesome, 115 horsepower. I got it up to speed. I haven’t ridden a lot on the road, but I can see the allure. I plugged in my ipod and cruised across Kansas. It was certainly something new. We arrived Friday night at 10:30 p.m. My buddy Brian Hinsley, fellow liver transplant recipient, just three months before my transplant in 2000, and I rode the final stretch together into KC. It was really cool. Visit A Ride Across America’s site to support their journey to NYC and purchase a raffle ticket to win the chopper.I’m hanging in Aspen this week, riding and finishing shooting my documentary project. I’m looking forward to busting out my mountain bike and heading to Moab next weekend. Enjoy your spring. Thanks for stopping by. Talk to ya soon,CK
