To The Edge And Back

Enjoy the Ride, Don't Take A Turn For Granted

Rechargin’ in Aspen

Posted by admin on February 12, 2006 9:44 am / 0 Comments

I’m bummed not to be competing in Torino next week, but am surviving and moving forward. I’ve been through a lot worse and will bounce back strong. There’s no better place to recover from my disappointment than in Aspen with my friends and family. I’ve been freeriding almost every day, lots of powder therapy. The conditions have been all-time this year inAspen/Snowmass.I’ve been on the road a little the past week. I traveled to San Diego and Kansas City last week supporting donor awareness events and blood drives as the spokesperson for Saturn’s National Donor Day. I’m proud to team up with Saturn in helping to spread the life-saving message of blood, marrow and organ donation in this Ninth National Donor Day, the largest national single-day donor drive. Check out the Saturn National Donor Day website and sign up to get my 2006 Donor Day pin. Our San Diego UCSD event organized in part by Donor Dudes representative and student Alex Quick was a huge success. Thanks to all of the Dudes that helped make the event go off. Don’t forget on Valentine’s Day to hook up your girl with flowers and share your message about donation with your family. I’m here because of it.I’m training this week and getting ready for a strong finish to the season. I’m looking forward to some great races ahead after Torino. I still love snowboarding and racing. As long as I’m healthy, competitive, and having fun I’d love to keep going. Let’s find the podium.Thursday I’m headed to Torino to do some appearances and media and to cheer on my teammates. I’ll travel straight to Russia from Italy for two World Cup slalom races in Moscow and St. Petersburg. I’ve never snowboarded in Russia and am excited about the adventure. I’ll keep ya posted from Italy and beyond. Thank you to all my friends and fans the past weeks for your kind messages and support. Best wishes,CKHeelside at Highlands, photo Andrew Wilz,
