Copper Mtn. Continental Cup PGS Champ!

I just completed a week of training and racing at Copper Mtn., CO. It was a productive camp. I’m ridin’ fast and having fun. We trained twice a day for a week, followed by two continental cup races. I won the PGS on Monday, racing against a strong field of N. American riders and some fast Euros. It was a great warm up race for the World Cup comps ahead in early December! I was stoked to ride strong and get the win. I raced my teammate Eric Warren in the final. Tyler Jewell finished third. Michelle Gargone won the women’s PGS race with Lisa Kosglow second. I didn’t perform as well in the slalom exiting in the first round. Philip Berube of Canada won the slalom, Steamboat’s Justin Reiter second and Swede Danial Biveson third.I’m celebrating my 32nd birthday at home in Aspen today with my friends and family. Nice to be home for a few days recovering after a hard camp. I’m headed to Denver tomorrow for our book signing celebration at Tattered Cover LoDoat 7:30 p.m. I hope you’ll join us! On Saturday I’ll be at Barnes & Noble Denver-West Shopping Center in Golden with my co-author Steve Jackson from 12:00 – 3:00 p.m. for a signing there. I’m planning to help out with announcing the Women’s World Cup Ski Races starting next Friday Nov. 26th on Ajax Mtn., and playing in the traditional Turkey Bowl football game with my brothers. We’ve got our local book celebration in Aspen in the Gondola Plaza Nov. 26th from 2:30 – 4:30 p.m. I’m off to Telluride next weekend for the openingKing of the Mtn. event.
